Known as the "Sailfish Capitol of the World", Stuart offers a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere with plentiful waterways, beautiful beaches, quaint shopping and delectable restaurants. A revitalized dowtown, located along the St. Lucie River, provides a beautiful spot to stroll in the cool evening breezes along the Riverwalk, shop at quaint boutiques or dine at a diverse selection of restaurants.

In keeping with the low impact feel found throughout the county, buildings are limited to four stories with the exception being Martin Memorial Hospital at six stories. This lack of high rise buildings creates a beautiful skyline as well as minimizes crowding, provides plentiful open spaces and offers an environmentally proptective atmosphere.
